The Kansas City art scene is thriving and KCAI students and alumni are at the center of it all. Each month the Downtown Crossroads District hosts a First Fridays Art Walk where galleries, studios, and shops open their doors to the community. Artist-run artspaces and residency programs speckle the various cultural districts across the city and offer opportunities for artists to build a strong studio practice. Find support for your projects from one of the many KC grant-giving arts organizations such as Charlotte Street Foundation.
